For as long as I can recall I’ve been a creative, often spanning multiple genres. During my childhood fantastical imaginary worlds, intricate stories and artwork shared between siblings was a way to extinguish the harshness of existence in the raw, especially as an Acute Myeloid Leukaemia survivor and someone who always felt not quite of this world.

Over the decades I’ve come to regard creativity as one of the most precious & satisfying forms of alchemy and my indefatigable ‘north star’. To take the base metal that is ultimately a thought, an idea, a wispy mental construct and make it tangible in the world at large.

I moved into photography several years ago, seeing it initially as a way to record those sublime moments one has in landscape during the magic hour, but given my innate love of drawing the human form, and this fey preternatural way of viewing the world as having hidden layers, it felt inevitable that those separate strands would eventually meet and dovetail into the type of work I now produce.
